A First Post, and a Stock Photo

Here I am, tinkering on Squarespace as I figure out how to work this thing. The VIA rail wifi only works effectively in bursts; but so do I as we are approaching 10:00pm after a number of delays on our way to Toronto from Montreal.

I am looking to use this website as a content diary of sorts. The intended emphasis is not to be on myself, but rather the eccentricities that I find on the internet and the world at large as I wander through it. The objective is to share writings, music, thought pieces, and other curiosities that will hopefully interest you as much as they intrigued me.

I think that it is fitting that the image I am using for the blog’s very first post is the stock photo. In a way it is representative of the core of this project: although the content may not (always) be my own, and although I do not yet have a clear idea of what sort of content will find its way into this collection, I’m choosing to cast a line out into the unknown just the same.
